My heart is burning

So, I know it's been a long time since I've actually posted to the blog. But how could I possibly compete with my witty, hysterical husband's posts? He's just too good at this.

I have to say that the third trimester hasn't been easy. I'm just so tired and getting bigger and slower everyday. I've had a pretty bad case of heartburn throughout the pregnancy, but now it's unlike anything I've ever experienced. I never leave the house without my Tums because even water seems to trigger it. It's really bad; the last few nights it's woken me up out of a dead sleep.

I'm starting to grow out of all of my maternity clothes which used to be so big on me. And the wonderful news is that I'm supposed to put on a pound a week for the remainder of the pregnancy. I am going to officially be an elephant.

I've got a doctor's appointment tomorrow. Now, I'll start going every two weeks. Hopefully I'll actually get to see my doctor this time as I haven't actually had an appointment with him in months.

Next weekend is our childbirth preparation classes. I know we'll learn so much, but I'm scared to death to see the dreaded "video" of some woman giving birth. As most of you know, I don't have a real strong stomach so I'm going to have to go to a happy place and zone out. I heard that you get the option of getting a mirror so you can see what's going on down there while you're going through labor. Let me make it clear: I want NO part of that.

Dear Kristin & Scott,
I Just want to say I think your Blog is great. Keeping up with you has kept me laughing at Scotts humor. Kristin you are not an elephant it is normal as I'm sure your fill in doctor has mentioned. I have attended many births and yes Kristin is is alot easier on the other side so i'm sure its alot easier FOR SCOTT TO BE HUMUROUS FROM THE OTHER SIDE. You look beautiful to everyone else sweetheart! I WANT TO SEND MY PRAYERS AND BEST WISHES FOR YOUR UPCOMING JOURNEY AS IS IS THE MOST WONDERFUL THING YOU WILL EVER EXPERIENCE. OF COURSE YOU USUALLY DO NOT REALIZE THIS UNTIL AFTERWARDS.

WITH LOVE AND BEST WISHES,

KATHLEEN MEDWAR

Thanks so much for the kind words and wishes, Kathy. It's so great to hear from you - it makes us realize how many people back home are supporting us.

I agree Kristin looks beautiful. I honestly think she looks awesome and more and more gorgeous every day. She's never gained more than 5 pounds, so this whole "gaining weight" thing is foreign to her. If only all of us were so inexperienced with the struggles of weight gain.

By the way, I am the one who deleted the last comment - it was a duplicate.

Hi guys!
I love your blog - it's so amazing that we can all keep up with everything that's going on during the pregnancy. We miss you so much, and the updates make it seem like you're not so far away!
Kris - as always, you look beautiful! I am so looking forward to seeing you and meeting little Baby Regan at the end of the summer!
Love and best wishes to you both!
-Michelle
