You ever have one of those lives?
I won't go into why I haven't posted in so long, but it has something to do with the fact that if something can go wrong in my life, it will. No major health concerns, so I can't complain too much. But those who know me well also know that I have frequent encounters with very odd/crappy luck. In fact, I have contacted the proper authories and if I can get enough signatures, you may see a new Question on the ballot in November. Question 4 requests that the state of Massachusetts rename "Murphy's Law" to "Regan's Law". I'm only shooting for change on the state level - this is not a federal thing. We all know how laws tend to get loaded with "pork and goodies" once they get to Washington.

All the woe-is-me aside, I'm a very lucky guy. My wife is an amazing Mom and Bailey is just awesome. She's just so pretty and sweet that we melt the minute we see her. But she's not so pretty and sweet over the baby monitor. In fact, she's a nightmare. She tends to scream and cry uncontrollably - like a banshee in a woodchipper. This pushes Kristin and I to the brink of insanity on a daily basis. We noticed a little tooth pushing its way through her gums and I bet that really hurts. I'd probably cry too. But she just goes CRAZY when she's upset - kicking, wailing and arching her back. Quite frankly, she sometimes crosses the line with her attitude. I don't want to take her to HR or have a crucial conversation with her, but her conduct is rapidly approaching the unnacceptable mark.

Sorry for the rant. We had a rough one last night - no one a 47 Bell Road

got much sleep. That said, Bailey is progessing wonderfully. She's eating rice cereal once a day and rolling over like nobody's business. She's at the point now where she'll immediately roll over on her stomach the second we put her down on her activity mat. Then, she immediately gets pissed off because she's stuck on her stomach and can't figure out how to return to her back. It's pretty funny to watch.

We've done some fun things lately. Last weekend Kristin and I went for a walk to the soccer fields near my parents' house. This is where I spent most of my time from ages 4-18, so it was pretty weird to be there with baby (and gut) in-tow. I haven't seen soccer being played up there in about 15 years so it was very reminisecent for me. I was nearly brought to tears when I realized that I will never knock a bunch of kids on their asses in a sport again...without being arrested. Ahh, glory days.

In other news, due to some insulation issues in our new house, our move-in date has been pushed back to November 8. That's ok, though. The commute is worth all the help we get from my parents.
I'll leave you with a few last things. The first is a picture of Bailey with her best friend eebee. Comcast recently took down Bailey's favorite eebee episode, so Kristin might be in for some long days until the DVD I ordered online shows up. In retrospect, I should have gone with the overnight shipping. Pray for us.

Lastly (but not leastly), here is a quick video of Kristin walking with Bailey in the Baby Bjorn. She's finally able to enjoy this miracle invention and we're so thankful for Mr. Bjorn. He should win a Pulitzer Peace Prize.

I confess!
I tore the insulation out of you soon-to-be home just so we can keep you guys (read-Bailey) here awhile longer.
I have a funny feeling the basement will soon develop a plumbing problem.
I love your dad's comment !!

I love your new update Scott, you really do have a knack for writing. Bailey is getting so big and beautiful I can't stand it. I just want to reach out and squeeze that little face. Don't worry about moving in until Nov 8th at least you have your Mom and Dad helping you out. Their house will be so quiet when you all leave. Enjoy, and keep those blogs coming.
The pictures of Bailey in her hat are absolutely gorgeous. She looks so pretty!! You're a lucky couple of parents to have such an awesome little girl. Oh and Scott, girls are born with PMS. I swear it's true. I have two awesome little girls who were born with it too. And then there's me. So get used to it - the rants only get worse... New parents - you're so much fun. :)
Bailey has Elliott/Holland blood in her. She is compelled to express herself, just ask her Nana Kittie and her Aunty Karen. Her Grandma Kim has had to live with this all her life. She'll give you some pointers on coping.
I love You Scott! Kisses for your family!
Aunty Karen
Miss Wailey Bailey just has a mind of her own! Don't you just love strong, assertive women?
Bailey is looking more like her Mom and Dad everyday! I love the video, Kristin looks skinnier and Bailey is HUGE! I can't wait to squeeze those little cheeks again. I always enjoy reading Scott's brutally honest entries. I can't wait to see the new fully insulated house in less than three weeks. Miss you and love you all.
