Pork, Squash, and Applesauce

My New Year's Resolution is to post more on the blog, I swear. So get ready for some big-time baby blogging jam-packed with hilarious rants, safe baby jokes, and not-so-witty observations. Because in like a month or so I am really going to get ready to start thinking about getting ready to start posting more.

So today we're serving Applesauce to a girl who's head now looks more like an apple than a dropped-in-a-supermarket cantaloupe. Yep, no more flat headed baby! Bailey's head began taking shape right after the brilliant doctor from the world-class hospital gave us the prognosis that we could "maybe think about" getting her a helmet.

Two weeks ago I'm bracing to hear she needs a helmet. One week ago we found out we could maybe think about getting a helmet. And now, all of a sudden, it's almost perfect and everything is normal. Finding out that doctors are human is like finding out there's no Santa Claus.

I call this clip On with the Applesauce.

So we bought this thing Bailey is sitting in on the right called off Craigslist. It's called the "Jumperoo" and it sells for like 80 bucks. This bouncer is the greatest thing to ever happen to Bailey in her entire life. Literally. We bought it for 20 bucks from these rich people in a mansion in Sudbury. It was trickle-down economics at its best. I bet John McCain is smiling down at me from heaven right about now.

Forget pork barrel spending. McCain should have pushed for an economic plan which forced the wealthy to put their used, but nice, stuff on Craigslist for the poor and middle class to buy for next to nothing . Then, make the rich buy new stuff at real stores. Think about it. We'd all be fat and happy with nice stuff. I'd take that platform any day of the week.

Enjoy Jumperoo.

I'm kind of shoving all this politics and media down your throats today, and for that I apologize. But I've got a lot of stuff on my mind, a lot of baby stuff to show and very little time. So here's Jumperoo Part Two: Electric Boogaloo.

All-in-all, things have been going really well with Bailey at our new house in Framningham. She is certainly keeping us busy (especially Kristin). Bailey's always been fun, but seeing her react to us and really laugh and smile like this is amazing. It's a sign of what's to come and how awesome it's going to be. She's already got two teeth peeking out. She has been wearing 6-month-old outfits for a month, since she was 4 months old. And she's in the 97% percentile in baby-height, which I believe is called "length" until they can stand. She's such a good grower!

She's our prize-winning squash.

Thank you Scott for this great post!! Bailey really enjoys her jumperoo! I LOVE the videos, I'll watch them whenever I'm having a bad day. See you soon, Auntie Andrea is coming home for a visit!! Love to all three of you. P.S. I'm going to have "Fill It Up" in my head all day.

Scott, I loved your comments and videos Bailey is growing up before our eyes. I'm so glad you are enjoying your new home, can't wait to come and visit. I am so happy that Bailey won't have to wear a helmet, prayers really do get answered. Keep it coming I can't get enough. Those jumperoos are a God sent and she's having so much fun so that's all that matters. When the baby's happy so are Mom and Dad. Keep up the good work!

Bailey's head formation was just another 'California Fault'. You knew the remedy was to move back to the right coast!

Ok, I've made a decision - I'm going to become a Democrat and Patriots fan. This whole Republican Chargers fan isn't working so well for me.
