Crazytown, USA. Population: 3

With Bailey now officially nine-months-old, all hell has broken loose in the Regan household. Now that she's crawling, we find ourselves constantly hovering over the Craziest Baby Ever. She's all over the place...and wherever she goes, she gets there quickly. We're just starting to baby proof the house, which means that there are now only 14,789 things in our house that could kill our daughter.

I took Bailey for her another hair cut today, this time without Mommy. She was not happy. She didn't cry or anything, but she did fight the woman with everything she had. And if you've ever tried to change Bailey, you know that girl can put up a fight. On page 4 of my Babysitter notes, I say that changing Bailey is like "trying to change an angry chimpanzee while he's ripping your face off". Believe me, I have the scratches to prove it. They make me look super-professional at job interviews.

This weekend should be a fun time. We're taking Bailey to a music class for babies. As you've seen in the videos, this little gal likes music. Hopefully the weather will be nice so we can finally take her outside for long stretches of time. Of course we won't be going outside in our backyard anytime soon after the whole rabid raccoon getting his face blown off with a shotgun incident.

With the nice weather comes perhaps the greatest thing about living in Boston, Springtime. There's nothing like Spring in the Northeast. It's so clean and refreshing. Just feeling the warm sunlight shine through the windows is amazing. It feels as if you've just come out of a very long nap filled with bad dreams about being cold, depressed and angry. It makes you want to go out and do something in shorts, even if it's really only 50 degrees. I find myself craving ice coffee and corn on the cob. It's a very perplexing phenomenon.

And of course, with the Spring comes the Red Sox. But much like the Sox, you should never get too comfortable with this wonderful feeling of re-birth in Boston. Because at any moment, a gigantic storm could hit out of nowhere and crush your happiness as quickly as it arrived.

I hear it's different now for many people around here now that the Sox have won the World Series, twice. But we were in San Diego for that, so we're still suffering from the pre-2004 angry Bostonian mentality. And as Bailey dons her first of many Red Sox hats, I can't help but think I am setting my daughter off on a very bumpy ride. But I wouldn't have it any other way. She'll be a crazy Sox fan for life whether she likes it or not. It's in the genes.

Speaking of crazy, did I mention Bailey is a bit of a high-energy baby? Nothing is safe from her deadly combination of curiosity, strength and determination. It's so much fun watching her flail a whisk for 10 minutes or continually knock over the Diaper Genie just to see the look in my face. Yesterday I looked over and there she was, standing up in the middle of her playpen without holding on to anything. It lasted a few seconds until she saw me looking at her and took a nasty fall into her little piano. It didn't bother her a bit, though. She's used to hitting her head and whacking her chin on stuff. It scares the hell out of me. I don't know how my Mom put up with me being such a lunatic as a little boy. I probably gave her an ulcer.

No matter how crazy she gets, Bailey can can always look to the people who mean the most to her in life, her true caretakers. And those people are eebee, The Laurie Berkner Band, and my new favorite, Jack's Big Music Show. We can always rely on these wonderful people and puppets to shut her up for just a few precios minutes....I mean, educate and entertain her budding brain while giving Mom and a Dad a minute to collect their thoughts before going completely bananas. Speaking of bananas, check out the little tyke in action. Let's hope her affinity for them isn't a pre-cursor to more killer chimpanze antics.

We LOVE the new hairstyle! Can you believe she's already needed two haircuts? And I love the picture of her kissing the bunny. Nana will like that one! Miss you all so much!

I didn't want the video to end. She looks so different. I love how she just put the banana down in the middle of the floor and went for the ball. Soon enough she will be cleaning every Sunday morning...ha ha ha! I miss you guys and love all of the new photos.

Scott and Kristin how did the music lessons go with Bailey, did she have fun? Wish I were there to see her expressions, did you take any pictures?

Scott will have to write a separate post to describe the craziness of the music class. Needless to say, she's probably not ready for it quite yet. :)

She really just said that during the video. Whenever we go through drive throughs she always asks me to get a little something extra for "her friend Bailey". Talks about her all the time, hysterical! I can't believe how big she is, omg, so darn cute. We miss her! How was music class?
